Wondering where it all began? All Beresfords are descendants of Thomas and Agnes Beresford of Newton Grange, Derbyshire UK 1425 – 1473.

Thomas and Agnes had 21 children, we are descended from the sixth son Humphrey.

The Beresfords arrived in Ireland in 1610 and our family emerged in Dungarvan around 1740. The following diagram is an outline of the early generations.  Search in Family Branches for details of your family.
