FAMILY BRANCH HISTORY

Beresford families have lived in several townlands around Dungarvan, particularly in the parish of Kilgobinet, which has churches/graves at both Kilgobinet and Garranbane.  There are numerous Beresford graves at Garranbane, this church is the central point around which the Beresford families are associated. In addition, there are many Beresford families with ancestors in Dungarvan, that reside out of Dungarvan and overseas.

Piecing together the relationships and family tree is not easy. There are bits missing/not understood. We hope to fill in these gaps over time.
